GLOCK P80
Glock P80 story began a few years before its American premiere. In 1981, and later in 1982, Gaston Glock submitted his then-unconventional polymer-frame pistol for consideration to the Austrian military. His gun won out over the competition and was adopted as the Pistole 80, P80 Glock or P80 Gun. These guns were later known commercially as “Glock 17 Gen 1” and were only available in the US market for 2 years until the “Gen2” model was introduced in 1988. The Glock P80 is very limited in stock and luckily for you, you can get the P80 Gun at our shop.
Two locations were used to stamp the serial numbers of early P80s, which were kept in Austria: the barrel’s side and the slide below the ejection port. The Gen 1 G17 had a third serial numbers stamped on a metal strip that was embedded into the dust cover. This was to comply with U.S. import regulations. These regulations have not changed so the P80 replica now has three serial numbers instead of two.
Because accessory rails were not standard until 1998, the frame’s dust cover has a smooth and rounded appearance. Over the years, the trigger guards have remained relatively unchanged. The Gen 1 trigger guard’s face, which acts as a finger rest and serves as a trigger guard, has the same non-aggressive, pebbled texturing that the grip.

The grip frame is what makes the P80 stand out from other models. The grip frame is free from thumb indentations, finger grooves or differentiated texturing. The front strap is straight and smooth and there are no thumb indentations behind the trigger guard, finger grooves along the front strap, or differentiated texturing. These openings allow for easy grasping of the magazine, in case it needs to be removed manually. Glock and Lipsey did not duplicate the Gen 1 magazine layout. This version of the P80 ships instead with two Gen 4 magazines, one with 17-round capacity and the other with 10-round capacities depending on your jurisdiction.
